I had such a fantastic time working with Miss R. and planning her boudoir session! When I first met her, she was a bit nervous and unsure of what to expect since she had never done anything like this. I quickly reassured her that she would do find that I would show her how to pose and it would be so much fun! Miss R. is such a great and loving person who made my job so easy. I always find that when connecting with my clients before their sessions it is much simpler to get them to relax. She soon got the hang of the posing and totally knocked her session out of the park! I was so amazed that even though at the beginning of her session she was little nervous she overcame those obstacles and trusted in me to capture her.
When Miss R. saw her pictures during her reveal, she was completely in shocked that the women she saw on the screen in front of her were actually, of herself. The joy and happiness she shared with me truly made my day! The best part of my job is sharing the final product. It is at that very moment they see themselves kind of like the first time.
It’s empowering and each and ever time it is filled with emotions of happiness. Miss R. came to me last spring to plan her boudoir session for her soon to be husband as a wedding gift. 3. What made you decide to take a leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and I’m certainly not getting any younger. I think all women are beautiful no matter what size.
4. Did you have any obstacles or fears about boudoir?
Yes, originally as being almost naked in front of someone definitely takes trust and security within one’s self.
5. Was the session different from what you expected it to be?
Yes, it was, I was very nervous, but you made it so relaxing and just fun.
6. What was your favorite part about the entire experience?
Being able to relax and feel sexy through a photographer’s eyes.
7. How did you feel when you saw your photographs?
I was in shock, they were so much more than I had ever expected and I felt proud of myself for having the courage to do it.
8. Any advice for women interested in their own boudoir session?
Pick some music that makes you feel your sexiest and just go with it.
9. Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty as a result of the session?
Yes, I feel more comfortable with myself naked and especially in lingerie. My fiancé (husband now) loved them and is very proud of them. It was a perfect gift for him before the wedding.
