We have been celebrating birthdays all year long with some pretty AMAZING clients! This gorgeous gal decided to book her session for her 50th birthday, along with celebrating her upcoming wedding. A Double Celebration!! I love how with a few phone conversations and in-person consultations allowed us to create a friendship that resulted in giving Miss. P the confidence she needed to kick off her session with SUCCESS!
It’s not often I get the opportunity to sit around to chat for hours with other adults, let alone other moms unless I am doing a session. Well, during Miss. P session, I was still learning to manage my time with a newborn and breastfeeding. I am truly thankful for Miss. P. for being so understanding and allowing me to take a few moments to nurse. During this time, we talked about life (PPD), postpartum depression, divorce, and motherhood; you name it, we talked about it! Together, we sat and shared stories about our life and how we made it through some of the darkest times. I am so incredibly proud of her. For one, she did something completely outside of her comfort zone by reaching out and booking a shoot with us, but two, she believed in herself enough to show up and be brave to go through with it!
Our studio has been a safe place for women to share their struggles, success stories, and all the milestones in between. If the walls of my studio could talk, it would share so many stories. I love that about my space! It has been a safe place for so many women to become themselves truly. A place to release their fears and face them. It has also been the place where women learn to reconnect with themselves, and best of all, it has allowed them to love who they see looking back at them in the mirror.

3. What made you decide to take a leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
Getting married and turning 50!!
4. Did you have any obstacles or fears about boudoir?
I was terribly afraid that I would not have any good pictures to choose from. In fact, when I left after the session to give her time to go through the pictures, I hoped that there would be at least 10 pictures to pick from. I knew there was no possibility of me having any trouble narrowing down the pictures to 35. When I returned, I was overjoyed that I had between 50-75 pictures to pick from. It was so very difficult to decide which were the best 35 pictures. I never ever imagined I would be struggling with having too many pictures to choose from.
5. Was the session different from what you expected it to be?
Yes, I thought I would feel ridiculous posing and would feel self-conscious being in lingerie in front of Rami. However, I did not feel that way at all. Rami is an absolute joy to work with. She is so wonderfully sweet and friendly. She quickly put any of my fears to rest, and it was like visiting with an old friend.
6. What was your favorite part about the entire experience?
My favorite part was being so pleasantly surprised when I returned and see that she had a huge selection of pictures for me to choose from. I would describe myself as not photogenic, but somehow she was able to turn me into a model.
7. How did you feel when you saw your photographs?
I could not believe that was me. Never did I imagine that I could look so amazing. It was really hard to narrow it down to 35 pictures. They were better than I ever imagined.
8. Any advice for women interested in their own boudoir session?
DO IT; you won’t regret it.
9. Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty as a result of the session?
All I can say is WOW. I never knew I had it in me to be so sexy and photogenic.

One of my friends had pictures taken by another photographer, and it piqued my interest when I saw them. I was turning 50, and I decided it was now or never. I began my search and came across Rami’s website. She seemed genuine, and her pictures were stunning. Upon seeing the price, I decided I would make this a birthday present for my future husband, which would allow me to justify spending this kind of money. I met with Rami about 2 months before the actual shoot, and she was so friendly that many of my fears disappeared. She is so personable and nonjudgmental. For the next two months, I still questioned if I should be spending this amount of money. I had seen my friend’s pictures, and they were okay but not outstanding. On the day of the shoot, as I was driving there, I was a little nervous about posing. I am not a very photogenic person. I always manage to look ridiculous. I also worried if I would look natural or if it would look staged. Rami spent a great deal of time posing my body to capture the best lighting and to give me the most natural look possible. It was quite a little workout. Throughout the entire shoot, I never felt self-conscious or awkward; it was an enjoyable experience. After the shoot, I left while she sorted through the pictures. She said that when I returned, I would have to narrow it down to 35 pictures. I just hoped that I would have 10 decent pictures to choose from. When I returned, I was surprised to find I had more than 50 beautifully stunning pictures to pick from. My fear of what if I did not have any decent pictures to choose from turned to, oh my, how will I decide which pictures to omit from the album? This experience was so much better than I could have imagined. When I left, I called my friend and told her that it was worth every penny I had to spend. If you are hesitant to schedule a shooting because of the price, I will tell you; you will be so glad that you chose to invest in yourself. You will leave there feeling gorgeous, sexy, and so very confident. Rami is so absolutely amazing. I already want to do it again.
