Are you guilty of saying one of the above or more? If we are being honest, I want to say that it breaks my heart hearing women degrade their own bodies making themselves feel as if they are not worthy. We all have parts of our body we don’t like. You can spend the rest of your life hating those parts, or you can choose to see the positive in each of them. It is entirely up to you!
This is one of those women who inspire me.
Meet Ms. E.
A young and bright beautiful woman who inspired so much during her session. We spend a good portion of the day chatting before her session and even between pictures. It was so refreshing to hear this because as women we all struggle with some type of complex, but how many of us are open and honest about it? I know I am not always very open with mine. The fact she trusted me to share a few her own struggles and capture her beauty was far more than I could have ever asked for. It makes me happy when clients confided in me but even more when they believe in the same mission I do. <3
1. How old are you? 22
2. What do you do for a living?
Tech sales/consulting
3. Did you have any obstacles or fears about boudoir?
Initially, before my first-ever boudoir shoot, I had hesitations because I am a plus size woman, which is traditionally under-represented in lingerie and boudoir modeling, I have cellulite, moles, birthmarks, stretch marks, body rolls, and all of the other lovely qualities that almost every single woman has! Sometimes, I still have fears that I won’t like my photos
4. Was the session different from what you expected it to be?
The session was different in that I absolutely loved working with Ramilyn! I love modeling, but it is rare that I work with a photographer who is so genuine, down-to-earth, funny, and encouraging.
5. What was your favorite part of the entire experience?
My favorite part about the entire experience was getting to know Ramilyn and her motivations for being a photographer. I also loved her reaction each time she got the perfect shot! I felt so comfortable around her instantly.
6. How did you feel when you saw your photographs?
I was simply amazed; Ramilyn’s photos stand out so easily from other boudoir photography. Though I model frequently and am used to seeing photos of myself, I couldn’t believe the natural beauty I saw in the photos.
7. Any advice for women interested in their own boudoir session?
Don’t be nervous or scared (while it’s completely normal to be!). I promise you Ramilyn will make you look absolutely gorgeous; like me, you might not initially recognize the beauty in your photos! And then, you will learn that her photos show the beauty that your friends and family see in you every single day.
8. Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty as a result of the session?
While I don’t struggle too severely with body image and self-esteem, I am prone to bouts of insecurity like most women. Ramilyn’s photoshoot and photos really enforced that each woman is beautiful in her own way. I feel like her photos do a great job of showing each woman’s unique beauty, rather than trying to make every woman look the same with the same beauty standards.
